Wanted : Friday Explorations Leaders!
Exploration Activity for students to learn and/or build upon skills, hobbies, and activities that promote lifelong healthy habits and promote social/emotional well-being.

Who: Exploration Leaders
What: To share your skills, passion, talents, or interest with a group of students
Where: Shoreham Elementary School
When: Fridays, 1:15-2:20, for 5-6 week sessions
Why: to teach students new skills, talents, and hobbies, to introduce or reinforce healthy life-long choices, to promote positive social and emotional health and well-being!

Flexibility in Grouping: groups could range in size from 4-16 students, groups could include K-6 students, could target younger students in K-3 or older students 2-6, etc...

Exploration Leaders can receive a stipend of $20/session ($120 for a six week session). A limited amount of money is available for supplies.

Sessions run Sept-Oct, Nov-Dec, Jan-Feb, March-April, and May-June.

A school staff member can assist you in your group. Any Exploration Leaders that do not have a school staff member in their group will need to have a background check completed. Additional paperwork will need to be completed to receive the stipend.

Below is a list of possible exploration ideas just to get you started... the possibilities are endless! If you know of someone in the community who might be a little "shy" in coming forward with their skills, talents, and passions, please let us know! Also, if you have ideas for Exploration groups but don't have the time, please let us know and we will try to find someone who does.
